Kerri Grant's first NPA recording is her emotive  ballad, 'Steady'. The hooks in 'Steady' are strong, the lyrics create imagery, and the vocal performance is both intimate and powerful. Kerri's piano work fits the song well. She has great control  over her power voice, and really shines with a great sense of pitch, natural rasp and a wide range.

Kerri felt that  additional instrumentation may be called for. Shep thought strings were the right fit, so he wrote and recorded a section. Mixing the added element in gave the song a greater dynamic and sense of urgency. Good call, Kerri! 'Steady' is a great first offering from Kerri Grant.
